Nutritional Yeast Naturiga 100 gr
Create brand new recipes with our cheesy-tasting Nutritional Yeast, which contains high levels of B complex vitamins, B12, folic acid and zinc!
What is nutritional yeast and how is it produced?
Nutritional yeast is translated into Turkish as "nutritional yeast". It is one of the most important types of baker's yeast, whose Latin name is Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and has been used since ancient times.
It is grown on sugar sources (molasses) enriched with vitamins and minerals.
Yeast grows by eating molasses that is enriched with vitamins.
Oxygen is provided to create aerobic conditions (oxygen respiration) to ensure the yeast multiplies. Production takes place in a completely controlled environment to prevent cross-contamination and to obtain a quality product.
At the end of the growing period, it goes through a pasteurization process to inactivate it and is dried.
The yeast, which has been inactivated with heat, has now turned into a food containing B complex vitamins and various minerals.
It contains approximately 47% protein.
Since the yeast is not active, it is suitable for human consumption.
However, this yeast can no longer be used for leavening dough. It is only in a form suitable for nutritional use.
You can see the nutritional values table in other pictures of the product.
How do I use it?
Nutritional yeast can be used directly as a food or as a supplement to enrich the nutritional content.
It has a cheesy taste. A serving size for adults is about 1 tablespoon.
It can be sprinkled on pasta, added to pasta sauce, added to soups, salads, hot dishes, snacks such as popcorn, baked vegetable chips or a variety of recipes such as omelets to obtain a cheesy taste.
It can be added to recipes such as homemade pastries, crackers, and salty muffins.
It can also be used in vegan cheese making due to its aroma.
Suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets.
It does not contain additives, does not contain gluten, does not contain added sugar.
Note: We recommend that people with yeast intolerance test a small amount before use.
